Spirituality - Journey In The Fields Of Forever ( Part 99 )

“I suppose you believe that’s God’s fault?” Gideon asked. “Someone once said,‘God is simple. All else is complex.’ Yes,of course,it’s simplicity itself, but within its simplicity are powers too majestic and invincible to comprehend.Let me put it another way. When there’s a relationship of absolute trust between you and your God, many things start to happen. For example, you’ll find that your life seems to have more meaning, that you’re much stronger and more peaceful than before and that you don’t whine and complain as much as you used to. You’d be happier than you’ve ever been and other people would seek you out just to be in your company.” Sitting here on the porch with my two other-worldly friends reminded me of a similar visit long ago. “Haven’t we discussed these things before?” I asked. With a smile of forbearance, Marla said, “Many times, John, many times. Each time we discuss this idea you understand a bit more than the time before. Perhaps, this time you’ll get the meaning of the whole concept. Enlightenment doesn’t always come with a brilliant flash of lightning or the exploding rumble of thunder. It’s more evolutionary than revolutionary. Sometimes it creeps up ever so slowly, ever so gently, takes you by the hand and says, ‘Come with me, I’ll show you wonders undreamed of and I’ll give you peace and happiness unheard of.’ Enlightenment says there are no beginnings, no endings only a state of being. Remember the birds and the books in your dream?” “You mean when I was a little boy? The dream about the birds under the mango tree? You know about that, huh?” I waited for her answer, but Gideon replied instead. “We know many things, John. Every beginning appears to lead to an ending, but then again, every so- called ending implies a new beginning. So, really there are no beginnings nor endings, just the ongoing process of life. We use beginnings and endings as markers and reference points and, as such, they may be of some small use. But the highway of life is endless and the journey is much more exciting when one really knows the secret — the simple secret of living life to its fullest. That was precisely what was written in the unfamiliar language in the book you found under the tree in your dream.” To read the rest of the story visit http://www.spiritual-simplicity.com
